I began this blog in 2012, so I suppose we can both agree it’s time to update my “about me” page. I’m not the same man I was back then. Not that I’ve evolved into a better human being, I just entertain different neurosis.
I’ve lived out of state for twenty out of the last twenty-three years. Coming back home has been like getting slapped in the face with a cold fish, funny but painful none the less. The best I can do to survive is to write about it…so here goes.
Who am I?
I’m a retired single man craving self-control, but not just yet. I’ve got opinions, damn it! I enjoy a good laugh at my expense or at that of an unpleasant situation. A minimalist, trying to reduce my carbon footprint. I’m family oriented, liberal, and non-judgmental. People tend to like me; probably because I listen more than I talk. Of course, if they knew what I was thinking during those conversations…
How do I spend my time?
I read, young adult mostly. Why indulge in fact and figures when you can escape the world with a vampire, wizard or zombie? I write, only as a hobby. A large part of my time is spent among the younger limbs of my family tree. An eclectic bunch of kids who keep me sane and broke. Somewhere in there, I find the time to walk around town or binge-watch a show on Netflix.
What makes me happy?
My family and my alone-time are what makes me happy.
